I'm starting to plan exploratory vacations to both of these spots to see if I'd like to retire there. According to International Living magazine, my retirement funds would stretch at least twice as far as if I stayed in the U.S. So while I'm at it, I'm contemplating how I might go about getting funding to do some research on indigenous plants and/or the possibility of discovering essential oils that haven't been used. I think my brother and niece and I will be going to Costa Rica first (maybe this spring or summer) and I'm already working on a list of things to explore while I'm there: cost of eating out, transportation, starting a company, buying or renting, coast or jungle area, phone service, computer service, medical care, etc. Pitch in your two cents if you have suggestions ... and especially if you want to fund my research!
One advantage of working in hospice is that I get to play with all the therapy dogs. This is Asher, a Corgi.
