We had wildfires here not too long ago that affected many of us who were nearby with flu-like symptoms: coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, stuffy noses. I got treated for smoke allergies and everything went away ... except the tickly cough. So today, I dove into my herbal studies and put together a "cough tea." It has 1 teaspoon each of Marshmallow Root, Licorice Root, Ginger root, Elecampane and Pleurisy. There's also 1 tablespoon each of Comfrey Root and Spearmint and then a Cinnamon stick divided into 4 pieces. I mixed it all together and made 4 teabags. It turned out pretty good. I've only had one "dose" so far but will use each teabag twice and drink it twice a day for 4 days. Hopefully, that will do the trick.
One advantage of working in hospice is that I get to play with all the therapy dogs. This is Asher, a Corgi.
