I made my first batch of shea butter body cremes this weekend and named them exactly as they've turned out: To Die For. Fabulous. Texture is amazing and aroma is, well ... to die for. The base of the blend is shea butter and safflower oil and the essential oils are Lavender, Jasmine and Vetiver. The batch recipe I had turned out eleven 4-oz containers and two 2-oz containers. I'll have those up on the website shortly for purchase. I put some on to test it out before I met my brother and niece for dinner and it has lovely, soft staying power. My skin tends to be fairly dry and it usually sucks up anything I put on it but this lasted for several hours. Next up? Some herbal recipes for herbal certificate course I"m taking. I have to create an herbal emergency kit to keep on hand and try out an herbal Stimulation blend to very gently give my system the energy it needs to keep going comfortably all day. Who doesn't need that? I'll put those recipes in a blog next week.
One advantage of working in hospice is that I get to play with all the therapy dogs. This is Asher, a Corgi.
