Today I made a batch of solid salt scrubs. I can't wait to try them out and see how I like them. In addition to the cocoa and shea butter base, they have Sweet Orange and Vanilla essential oils. In getting them wrapped in their colored foils, I had a chance to experience the texture of the mix from bits left over on the sides of the molds and I think it's just right - not too scratchy but a nice, gentle exfoliant for the shower. The whole process took a lot longer than I expected - about three hours but I'm still adjusting to making my own products from scratch. Hopefully the time will improve. Next up? Solid bath melts - similar to my bath fizzies but without the fizz. Just great texture and aroma.
One advantage of working in hospice is that I get to play with all the therapy dogs. This is Asher, a Corgi.
